Predicting The Next 10 First-Time Champions In WWE

2. Baron Corbin

If Dean Ambrose and the Intercontinental Championship had stayed on SmackDown Live last week, Baron Corbin would be the number one name on this list. The Lone Wolf was expected by many to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 33, but somehow The Lunatic Fringe held on to his title on the Kickoff show.

With Ambrose now on RAW, Corbin finds himself somewhat lost. Big Banter came up short last week in a triple threat match to determine the number one contender to Kevin Owens' United States Championship, with AJ Styles getting the win.

Corbin is rumoured to be moving into a feud with Randy Orton over the summer. Is Corbin going to dethrone The Viper and win the WWE Championship? Probably not, but the expectation on the shoulders of the 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner is clear for all to see.

Simply put, it is up to Baron Corbin whether or not he wins championship gold in the future.
