Predicting The Next 10 WWE Hall Of Fame Headliners
6. Edge & Goldberg... Again (2027)
As mentioned earlier, two-times inductees are becoming ever more common. Up until now, a talent boasted one ring for their individual achievements and one for their team successes. One thing WWE may be tempted to do, though, is reward current Hall of Famers for their post-HOF career.
It would be a desperate move, and certainly prove divisive among the fanbase, but from a kayfabe point of view, it kind of holds. Think of everything Edge did after his 2012 induction; he made a miracle comeback, won the Royal Rumble, competed in the main event of WrestleMania, contested Last Man Standings, Hell in a Cells and "Greatest Wrestling Matches Ever", and defeated the likes of Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles.
As for Goldberg, he won half as many WWE World Titles as he had prior to his induction, also wrestled a 'Mania main event, featured in high-profile feuds against Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns, and recently claimed his wrestling days were numbered, but not over.
Granted, as things stand, this is an unlikely scenario. But with many WWE legends now cashing AEW paychecks, and considering the unbalance between the yearly demand in HOF box office draws and their relatively short supply, WWE may have no other choice but to resort to such sleazy, outside-the-box thinking.
