There will be plenty of people out there who expect Chad Gable to be the breakout star of the American Alphas but a heel Jason Jordan has much more potential. As with every popular tag team with two very talented wrestlers, there is a time limit on the duo's stint together. While Gable is made to be the plucky under dog the crowd will rally behind, Jordan will eventually turn on him and focus his attention on a solo career. Jordan fits the heel mold of someone like Kurt Angle, someone who knows he's better than whoever he's up against and isn't afraid to get on the mic to let everyone know about it. A heel Jason Jordan will be a great foil to any major babyface on the roster while marching his way towards the title through guys like Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews, and former team mate Chad Gable before wrestling the title away from Itami. Jason Jordan has the look, charisma, and in ring ability to be the top heel for a long time if given the chance. Turning on the uber-popular Gable will be step one, mowing through lower level competition will be step two, proving his credibility against the upper mid-carders is step three, and taking down Itami for the title is step four. Such a sequence would truly turn Jason Jordan into the American Alpha of NXT.
