Predicting Where Every AEW Wrestler Will Be In 5 Years' Time
58. Jay Lethal
Jay Lethal has already dwindled in relevance. The push-back to his signature has - and this is pure conjecture - possibly convinced AEW to not use him as Tony Khan's latest six-week veteran scalp, à la Bobby Fish.
He's popular amongst the boys, but that's precisely why people couldn't stomach his arrival.
Can't see him lasting.
57. 2.0
Priceless as undercard sh*thouses, 2.0 also have potential as loveable babyface dorks with glorious patter. Ever-Rise were a joy even when NXT 1.0 was shuffling towards its demise.
Longevity shouldn't prove a problem. Their work ethic is impeccable. Their enterprising creativity is abundant.
They'll be a part of the AEW family for a long time.
56. Joey Janela
Sometimes, things just don't work against all reason.
Joey Janela is a creative, funny performer contracted to a promotion that rewards creativity. They seemed a perfect fit. It just didn't work. Janela just never got over, and by his own admission, gave up trying for too long a time. He's better than the bad faith actors suggest, but the full brunt of his demented style isn't suited to AEW's undercard.
He's an indie guy until the end - so much so that his schtick doesn't work on what is effectively a billionaire-funded indie league.
He'll leave when his contract expires and operate better as a true outlaw mind.
