Predicting Where Every AEW Wrestler Will Be In 5 Years' Time

25. The Butcher & The Blade

The Butcher
AEW

This really isn't pleasant to write subjectively, because the Butcher and the Blade totally rule, but the Butcher is injury prone and has a day job (at which he also rules).

It would be class if they just did their awesome throwback thing on an as-and-when basis, but it's hard to book around that.

Can't see them lasting what is a far longer timespan in "wrestling years" than normal years.

24. Tony Nese

Tony Nese AEW
AEW

He's positioned in AEW to use his veteran prowess and workrate credibility to put over the current generation of talent.

It's a valuable role with limited longevity; in five years' time, some members from said current generation will be doing that which Nese is doing now, leaving the abdomen phenomenon surplus - after, one hopes, his excellent work is watched by significantly more people that watched 205 Live.

23. Trent? Beretta

Trent Sue
AEW

Well-liked amongst "the boys," Trent? is mates with the top stars and is a very underrated worker with an aloof demeanour that could well inform an upper midcard heel run.

There are places for him to go within a company that backs him, but as good as he is, it's a stretch to call him a future World or even TNT Champion.

He's a great hand in a company that values great hands who can retain their auras in clean defeats. He'll still be around, provided he can stay fit.
