Predicting Where Every AEW Wrestler Will Be In 5 Years' Time
22. Wardlow
Future World Champion.
Wardlow is the ideal image of a pro wrestler: handsome, hulking colossus with awesome meathead energy and a power-based arsenal that unites crowds with its sheer oomph. He has tremendous presence, a strong crowd connection, and an understated acting ability with which he can get stories over with zero insulting exposition.
For a company that is apparently destined to "run out of pops," just wait until Wardlow powerbombs MJF for the first time.
21. Abadon
A low-key needle-mover with a gimmick AEW successful spins as not supernatural, Abadon catches - and retains - the eye.
She isn't on the level of most AEW women, but can work f*ck out of a plunder brawl, as evidenced in a recent Rampage main event against Dr. Britt Baker. The issue is that she's not great in the normal context, and AEW seem reluctant to test her in it with any productive frequency.
A jump to Impact might enable the seasoning she requires to progress.
20. The Bunny
A victim of her own talent, in a weird way, the Bunny is entrusted to lose on TV rather a lot because she's solid - underrated, even - and AEW has far more raw prospects than seasoned hands. Instead of presenting all-star action in the women's division, the men's division approach is emulated - which positions the Bunny as designated jobber more often than not.
You'd hope that her selfless efforts are rewarded with a contract renewal and an opportunity to showcase her winning, real personality in a babyface role.
