Predicting Where EVERY Released WWE Star Will Sign Next
10. Apollo Crews
Apollo Crews joined WWE about two years too early. Announced as having officially signed in April 2015, on NXT TV by August, and on the main roster by the following April, he was in the awkward period of NXT between the early TakeOvers and the peak black-and-gold era, which coincided with nearly every call-up to Raw and SmackDown being treated with as much respect as a pile of dog sh*t in the park. He was never going to make it.
Finally free after several years of evading the dreaded phone call, Apollo re-enters the market at 38 years old. He can definitely still go, but his best days are behind him, and it's unlikely he will ever achieve a high level of relevancy again. Still, a company like MLW could use a wrestler of his versatility. Just don't bring back his God-awful Nigerian prince gimmick like they recently did with Festus.
Destination: MLW.
