Predicting WrestleMania 35 Matches (One Year Out)

8. AJ Styles Vs. Samoa Joe

This one comes from the process of elimination. With that we have pegged for later on the card, there was nothing left for current WWE Champion AJ Styles, but he has to feature somewhere. The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal just won't do, either.

'The Phenomenal One' will likely lose his belt long before WrestleMania 35, because outside of Brock Lesnar, monster World Title reigns aren't the done thing anymore. Thus, he probably won't be involved in a championship clash in New Jersey, though a big singles bout is a necessity.

Joe makes great sense as an opponent. As the company's most believable talker, he's somebody who can get a feud over in just a single promo. On top of this, him and AJ had countless great matches back in TNA, and while Joe's athleticism has declined significantly over the past few years, Styles should still be able to help him work a thrilling bout on what would be his first ever WrestleMania appearance.

Let's not pretend 'The Samoan Submission Machine' is cooked, though: January's clash with Roman Reigns shows he's still capable of magic, as disappointing as their Backlash bout was.
