Predicting WrestleMania 35 Matches (One Year Out)

7. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas Vs. Jeff Hardy Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Rusev (United States Title)

For the past few months, WWE's preferred method of booking the United States Title division has been stocking it with otherwise unoccupied main event and upper-midcard talents, throwing them in random singles and multi-man bouts, and hoping for the best.

It's unimaginative, but also unlikely to change, so expect another cut-and-paste scramble at WrestleMania 35.

The belt will likely have changed hands countless times before then. It's last 100-day reign ended in January 2017, when Roman Reigns fell to Chris Jericho, and it has been hot-shotted several times since then. This makes predicting the champion heading into WrestleMania 35 tricky, but rebuilding the division around the soon-to-debut Andrade 'Cien' Almas wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. Him and Zelina Vega have nailed their act, and if given a chance to succeed on SmackDown, they'll quickly become major players.

Jeff Hardy, perma-midcarder Rusev, and sentient d***-punch Shinsuke Nakamura could complete the lineup, though it'd be easy to throw the likes of Randy Orton and Shelton Benjamin into what would likely be one of WrestleMania 35's most meaningless matches.
