Predicting WrestleMania 35 Matches (One Year Out)
2. Charlotte Flair Vs. Ronda Rousey
This one has been mooted as a potential main event over the past few weeks. It could well fill that spot, particularly if the resurgent Women's Revolution continues on its current trajectory, but Ronda vs. Charlotte would attract major interest wherever it landed.
She lost her title to Carmella a few weeks ago, but Flair is the division's franchise player. Ending Asuka's undefeated streak makes her a star above everyone on SmackDown. Her main roster push has been Reigns-esque, only with more gold, and she'll stay in the spotlight regardless of championship status. Rousey, meanwhile, is the company's biggest star, and if WrestleMania 34 is anything to by, a natural between the ropes. Her presence in or around the card's highest tier is guaranteed.
That they currently compete on different brands is an easily solved problem. If this is 'Mania's big women's match, WWE will either switch Charlotte to Raw, or promote it as an inter-show bout. Champion vs. Champion isn't completely out of the question either, though unifying the belts would create its own set of problems.
Whatever happens, expect excellence: Ronda will have a full year's worth of improvement under her belt by then, and Charlotte's big match record speaks for itself.
