3. Roman Reigns

I'm taking a big risk here and leaving Dean Ambrose off the list to complete The Shield trifecta (that Baron Corbin pick could certainly come back to haunt me...). While The Lunatic Fringe likely has a hot heel run in him relatively soon, he doesn't seem to be connecting with the audience in any meaningful way as a face, which could keep him out of the top 10 territory in the long run.
Now Roman may never be the true No. 1 guy in the company (though I wouldn’t rule it out at all), but he’s still going to be a major player in WWE for years to come. He evokes a passionate response from a segment of the fanbase that very few wrestlers are able to match. Even though there are many vocal detractors out there, he still has a lot of followers who are happy to buy his merchandise and pay to see him wrestle.
In 2020, he’ll have to have gone through a heel run (Vince can’t be THAT stubborn...I think), and that could do wonders for his career. There is something about him that is just unlikable to a sizable portion of the audience, which can be a great thing for a bad guy. Perhaps when he’s gone through his heel phase, he can return a much more authentic and loved figure like what happened with The Rock.
The more Roman sticks around, the more the audience should warm up to him. For years, many hardcore fans seemed to hate John Cena, but they slowly began to accept him. The boos for him these days seem to be more in fun than genuine dislike, which Roman may yet experience eventually.
To put it simply, as long as Vince or Hunter is in charge, Roman is not going anywhere. Believe that.
