Predicting WWE's Top 10 Stars In 2020

2. Charlotte

This may be controversial, because only Charlotte and Sasha are on this list for women wrestlers, but I just don’t see Bayley being a big player in a few years. The crowd absolutely loves her now, and she’s doing great in her role, but in four years Bayley is going to be 31 years old, and her gimmick doesn’t seem like it’s going to age well. I could be wrong, but it’s so cutesy that the longer we see it, the more tired of it we may become.

Charlotte, though, has already emerged as possibly the greatest women’s wrestler in the company’s history. If she keeps on this track she’ll easily surpass Trish Stratus and Lita, and will be blazing her own path that others will be following into the next generation of competitors.

Right now Charlotte is possibly the best heel in all of WWE. She has the respect of longtime fans, but unlike Kevin Owens, A.J. Styles and Chris Jericho, she’s able to still receive boos by the vast majority of the audience. That's hard to do in this era and a testament to her talent and wrestling knowledge.

She’ll be 34 by 2020, which used to be ancient in terms of women wrestlers in the company, but times are thankfully changing in WWE, and it’s hard to imagine her push going anywhere. She'll probably be the anchor of one of the Women's Divisions until she's ready to hang it up, hopefully many years from now.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
