"An exhibition-style speed bump to keep them busy".

The same could be said for both Drew McIntyre and LA Knight once WWE rolls into town for spring 2025's biggest weekend. Like GUNTHER, McIntyre will be heavily involved in the World Title scene on Raw and put some closure on his 'Mania 40 heartbreak. He might even get revenge on newly-turned babyface Priest at some stage.

Most full expect Knight to win the United States prize this summer, meaning he might still have that belt over his shoulder by the time McIntyre comes knocking. Is jousting for the US Title a step down for Drew? Nah, not if it's booked properly and LA continues the fine work done by Logan Paul.

Being honest, it does look like Knight will be permanently housed in the upper-midcard decks for the remainder of his WWE run. That's hardly a bad spot, not least when he gets to have cracking matches vs. AJ Styles, Paul, McIntyre and more.
