Orton on Twitter trumps Orton on TV.

It would seem that the injury that kept Randy Orton out of WWE Backlash isn't as bad as feared.

Orton worked at the WWE live event in Fairfax last night, teaming with John Cena to defeat the team of Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. Reports state that Orton didn't take any bumps in the match, but he did hit an RKO for the win.

After the match Orton took to Twitter to answer a few questions from his adoring fans. As expected The Viper was asked a few regarding CM Punk and his less than successful UFC debut, to which Orton replied that he had a lot of respect for the 0-1 Phil Brooks.

Of course, he went on to qualify that there was a big difference between like and respect.

The Apex Predator also lashed out somewhat at internet commentators stating he was going to be out for a while, mentioning that he missed RAW because of his match in Fairfax that was 'apparently against Dr's orders'. Orton also stated that he was pro-Heath Slater and that his retirement is a long way off.

It all just begs the question as to why WWE doesn't allow Orton to be this interesting on TV...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
