Randy Orton's Injury Legitimate And Needs Physical Therapy Before WWE Return
WWE.com have posted an update on Randy Orton's severe back injury which we heard this week was likely to keep him out of action for six months and would force him to miss Wrestlemania 28 in April. Yesteday, WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson examined Orton and concluded that he had suffered a herniated disc on the L4-L5 level on the left side, which has resulted in the pain and weakness down his leg that he has been feeling and complaining about in the past two weeks that has led to his back problem. Sampson said;
"He's going to need some time off for rehab, anti-inflammatory medications and physical therapy," said Dr. Sampson.There had been some conjuncture on the web as to whether the injury was real or not and certainly we speculated early that it might have been a way to give Orton some weeks off over the New Year period after working a full year on the road. Though F4WOnline.com says the injury is 100% legitimate and Orton has noticeably had a weakened work load in December. The decision was made this week to get the problem seen to and the angle with Wade Barrett taking him out in the Street Fight that will air on tonight's SmackDown was shot to write him out of storylines at least for the next several weeks.
