Ranking 10 Greatest Ever MMA Fighters From The UK & Ireland

7. Jimi Manuwa (17-6)

Jimi ‘Poster Boy’ Manuwa was born in the United States but moved to London when he was just ten years of age and still resides there today. The hard-hitting light heavyweight had his share of ups and downs throughout his rollercoaster ride of an MMA career.

Manuwa won his first three fights in the UFC via TKO and had a perfect 14-0 record, before suffering his first career loss to Alexander Gustafsson. He would then go to win three of his next four fights before dropping a title eliminator to Volkan Oezdemir in 2017.

After coming ever so close to earning a UFC title shot, ‘Poster Boy' would go on to lose three more fights and ultimately retire from the sport in June 2019. In less than two years, he had gone from almost fighting for the title to riding a four-fight losing streak and deciding to call it quits.

At his peak, Manuwa was one of the most terrifying strikers in the division. In fact, fifteen of his seventeen career victories came by way of knockout. Though his career ended on a bit of sour note, he finished with a respectable 17-6 record with wins over stars like Jan Blachowicz and Corey Anderson.
