Ranking 10 Greatest Ever MMA Fighters From The UK & Ireland

6. Brad Pickett (25-14)

Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett was one of the first UK-based fighters to really break out in the lower weight classes. The retired striker from London fought professionally from 2004 to 2017 and always made his presence felt wherever we went.

Over the years, Pickett has competed in several different weight classes but mostly fought at Bantamweight and Featherweight. He’s been a part of Cage Rage, WEC, the UFC, and several other promotions.

The biggest feather in ‘One Punch’s’ cap came back in 2010, at WEC 48. It was during this event that Pickett would go on to defeat future UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson — a man who is widely considered to be one of the greatest fighters of all-time.

In his prime, the London native was one of the top bantamweights in the game. Much of Pickett’s notoriety also comes from his reputation as an exciting fighter. During his time in the UFC, the scrappy former-boxer earned four Fight of the Night bonuses.

The retired 40-year-old is British MMA pioneer, who seemed incapable of taking part in a boring fight.
