Ranking 15 WWE Debuts And Returns In 2020

3. Dominik Mysterio

In what universe would a 23-year-old kid wrestling his first matches ever be ranked above superstars such as Edge, Keith Lee and Riddle?

Well, it would have to be a universe where that kid is the son of a legendary wrestler, was immediately put into the spotlight, and rose above all expectations. That would be Dominik Mysterio, who was thrust into the middle of an awful, never-ending feud between his father Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins.

And while Dominik has lost the bulk of his matches and was embroiled in a dismal rivalry for the first four months of his tenure, we have to give huge points to him for showing great skill and rapid improvement during his short time in the ring. Let’s face it: guys like Edge, Lee and Riddle came in with huge expectations, while Mysterio was a bit of a blank slate, so for him to come in and hang with guys like Rollins and Murphy is a great start.

With that intro into the world of WWE, Dominik could have a very bright future if he’s allowed to grow and develop as a wrestler and cultivate his skills. He gets graded on a curve and gets a very favorable rating here.
