Ranking 20 WWE Debuts And Returns In 2019

17. Akira Tozawa

The jury is still out on Akira Tozawa, a 205 Live mainstay who transitioned over to Raw during the latest draft.

Tozawa being an undersized wrestler has a tough road to hoe, and he hasn’t won yet on the red brand, only pinning R-Truth during a gauntlet match. However, Akira has become a modern-day jobber-to-the-stars, having good, spirited matches with Buddy Murphy, Drew McIntyre, Andrade and Aleister Black.

While losing all your matches is not something to write home about, Tozawa’s performances show that WWE wants him out there making other superstars look good, which means they at least have some confidence in him.

There’s always a chance he gets a shot, but for now, it’s been a disappointing Raw run for Tozawa.
