Ranking 2015's WWE PPV Endings From Worst To Best

12. Royal Rumble (January 25): Roman Reigns Supreme

Main Event: The Royal Rumble Match What Happened: The 30-man Rumble's final four (seemingly) came down to Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, The Big Show, and Kane, with only Ambrose a favorite of a Philadelphia crowd that turned hostile after Daniel Bryan's early elimination. Show and Kane eliminated Ambrose, but Reigns tossed both giants to stand tall. They returned to the ring to assault Reigns, but The Rock made a surprise return and helped his cousin clean house. After that, Rusev - who had been outside the ring but hadn't been eliminated - re-entered and attacked Reigns, but The Big Dog tossed him out to win the 2015 Royal Rumble. Why It Was Devastating To The Company: Leading into the event, fans wondered if WWE would listen to the growing anti-Roman Reigns backlash and give the returning Daniel Bryan the Royal Rumble win, or if they would stick with their original plan. Bryan's early elimination, which was meant to get all of the crowd's animosity out long before the finish, answered that question, but the fans in attendance were furious for the rest of the show. Reigns's win seemed even more ill-planned given the hostility, which extended to The Rock and prompted a "Rusev" chant when fans remembered he was still in the match. Once and for all, the WWE Universe knew how much their wishes truly mattered to the company.
