Ranking All 20 WWE July PPVs - From Worst to Best

9. Great American Bash 2008

The summer of 2008 was a time of major transition in the WWE. The draft had sent two Raw mainstays, Triple H and Jim Ross, to Smackdown. Hunter took the WWE Championship with him, and CM Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Edge to bring the World Championship to Raw. The makeup of the 2008 Bash card seemed fresh. Triple H faced Edge in a first-time on PPV match. Punk defended the World Championship against Batista, who also recently jumped to Raw after three years on Smackdown. After years of being in the title hunt, John Cena was in his first secondary program on Pay Per View against JBL. The show also featured a major chapter in the excellent Chris Jericho/Shawn Michaels feud, as Jericho won the match by referee stoppage, putting HBK€™s entire career in jeopardy. The 2008 Bash is one of the more underrated Pay Per Views of the past 10 years.
