4. In Your House: Canadian Stampede

This is one of John Canton€™s favorite Pay Per Views. It only had four matches on a two-hour show, but what good four matches they were! Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Mankind had their second of three straight Pay Per View matches in 1997, and while it didn€™t hold a candle to their steel cage match at Summerslam, it was better than their King of the Ring final. Taka Michinoku and The Great Sasuke had a match that had little-to-no build but had the crowd on its feet when it was over. The Undertaker€™s WWF Championship match with Vader was overshadowed by the Kane storyline, but was still a good big man match. The main event, though, was the real reason for watching the show. It featured all five members of the Hart Foundation teaming for the first time against Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, and the Legion of Doom. The event was held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, so the normally heel Hart Foundation were wildly cheered. Every moment of the match had the crowd on its feet, from the opening staredown between Bret and Austin, to the end where Owen rolled Austin up for the victory. In the USA vs. Canada feud, this battle went to the bad (good?) guys.
