Ranking All 20 WWE July PPVs - From Worst to Best

1. Money In The Bank 2011

So much has already been written about this show and its place in history. It€™s one of the greatest Pay Per Views of all time. Due to the incredible Summer of Punk build, the atmosphere in the Allstate Arena in Chicago was at a fever pitch. The Punk/Cena main event was given the first five-star ranking by Dave Meltzer for a WWE match in 14 years. It€™ll go down as one of the best matches of all time, boosted mostly by the incredible Chicago crowd. But the show as a whole created some memorable moments. Internet darlings like Daniel Bryan and Christian had improbable wins of the Money in the Bank contract and the World Heavyweight Championship respectively. Both talents had been held down over the past few months, with Christian in particular getting a disservice by only having a two-day title reign and then turning heel. Their victories were signs that WWE management had faith in two talents that many wrestling fans had felt didn€™t get a fair shake. With those wins, the high quality of the two ladder matches, and the epic Punk/Cena match and angle, it€™s no contest that Money in the Bank 2011 was the greatest July WWE Pay Per View of all time. Battleground has some lofty goals to reach this Sunday if it wants a place this high up on the list. Thoughts on this list? Comment below or tweet me @PocketSeagull.
