This was the first pay per view after the unfortunate Chris Benoit tragedy, so it seemed that there was a sense of uneasiness in the air. Also, at the time there were a number of injuries to major stars such as Edge, Triple H and Rey Mysterio, so the star power on the card was generally lacking. Quick, try to think of any matches on this card without looking it up. Thats how forgettable this show was. The matches on the show were short for the most part, and consisted either of title bouts where the champion retained, or short gimmick matches like a Singapore Cane on a Pole match between Carlito and The Sandman. The main event was billed to be the greatest title match of all time with John Cena defending against Bobby Lashley. While it was a good match (Cenas 2007 was probably his best in-ring year), it didnt possibly live up to the ridiculous hype. The most memorable part of the show was Dusty Rhodes returning to the ring to face Randy Orton in a bullrope match, which barely lasted six minutes.
