6. Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Benoit Vs. Chris Jericho (WrestleMania 2000)
Question: do you count the "European" half of this two-fall match, or just the earlier "Intercontinental" portion? In fairness, I consider both halves, in which Angle defends his two secondary belts against Benoit and Jericho, losing both of them without even being pinned. Clever booking, certainly, and it gave Angle some legitimacy without him taking a fall. Even with an Anaheim crowd that was more silent than thread dragged on wool, the three delivered the technical wrestling excellence you'd expect. The biggest pop came when Jericho pinned Benoit with a lionsault, after Benoit missed a diving headbutt on Angle, to capture the European title in the second fall. Also notable for Angle using the chicken wing as his submission hold of choice, pre-ankle lock.
