13. The Rock Vs. Ken Shamrock (WrestleMania 14)
As a match, it wasn't much, failing to top the five minute mark. As a spectacle, it was tremendous fun, with Shamrock blowing a gasket and giving the impression that he was trying to snap Rock's foot off with his ankle-lock. Shamrock initially won the match by submission, and spent the entire aftermath in his reasonless kill-mode, assaulting officials, as well as Rock's Nation of Domination cohorts. The decision would be reversed due to Shamrock's brazen behavior, and Rock retained the gold via disqualification. This gave us the phenomenal visual of a pained Rock on the stretcher, holding aloft his title belt before Shamrock jumped him again. Say this much: at least it wasn't a 20-minute match with a screwy ending. The shortness made the reversal palatable.
