12. Alexa Bliss

This is another tough wrestler to rate.

Alexa Bliss was a shell of herself when she disappeared from TV in late 2021, playing the spooky-adjacent character she had throughout the pandemic era. She returned to television in January, undergoing painful (for the viewer) therapy that presumably “cured” her, but she reverted to the spooky character in a one-off appearance at Elimination Chamber.

Bliss wouldn’t return again until May, reverting to something closer to her original character. She was treading water until she and Asuka started backing up Bianca Belair against Damage CTRL, giving her a much higher profile on Raw. She closed out the year with a pending Raw Women’s Championship match and a possible heel turn under the influence of Bray Wyatt.

Overall, that’s a tough rundown to score, as she’s getting a title match and a lot of TV time, but it was a winding road to get there, plus there’s the Wyatt angle, which could be a boon or an anchor.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
