How do you rate a major attraction who doesn’t wrestle or really exist within the normal WWE universe?

Bray Wyatt always has been on the periphery of WWE’s wacky world, but his descent into the Fiend character pretty much guaranteed that he couldn’t just hang out in a backstage segment chatting about life.

Wyatt’s 2021 release was a confounding one, and he instantly became the figure of constant rumors of a return to WWE or an AEW debut. He’d finally make his way back to WWE in October at Crown Jewel following a brilliant, viral White Rabbit campaign that saw QR codes pop up on WWE programming for viewers to trace along and deduce the clues. His return was widely celebrated.

But at the same time, Wyatt’s promos have been the usual mix of strange and fantastic, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The Uncle Howdy character also is a polarizing figure.

Ultimately, it’s a question of whether WWE can find a way to keep Bray relevant and marketable, or if fans will lose interest in the strange world in which Wyatt exists.
