11. The Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar (2015)

This is a tough match to rank when you weigh match quality against the finish and overall implications.

To be clear, Brock Lesnar had not been pinned or submitted since WrestleMania XXIX in 2013, a period of more than two years and 10 matches. Included in that run was Lesnar ending the Undertaker’s unbeatable undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX. A rematch between the two was a great idea, and having Taker play the grizzled veteran gunslinger going heel was a nice twist.

But Undertaker didn’t really play the villain too much, at least not enough to get booed, which created a weird dynamic. Then you have the finish, which involved a phantom tapout from Taker (seen by the timekeeper, who rang the bell), a low blow by Taker and Lesnar passing out in Hell’s Gate. It was a cluster of an ending to what was a pretty good match up to that point.

And then Brock decisively won the feud at Hell in a Cell (and hasn’t been pinned or submitted since), making the dubious loss even more of a blemish.
