9. WrestleMania 19

If you could have sawed off 2-3 matches in the beginning and added one more solid undercard match, WrestleMania 19 would be in the upper echelon of Mania PPVs.

After all, the top two matches on the card – Rock/Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar/Kurt Angle – delivered, and Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels had a hella great battle that signaled HBK’s return to duty in WWE. Throw in a Hulk Hogan/Vince McMahon match for good measure and you’ve got a solid PPV right there.

But unfortunately, WM 19 also gave us that match between Triple H and Booker T, which is still one of the all-time embarrassments for WWE. And Undertaker’s annual Mania match against Big Show & A-Train was a huge disappointment – though it could have been way worse if Nathan Jones actually competed alongside Taker.

Overall, WrestleMania 19 deserves a good spot for a solid second half.
