Because WrestleMania 4 at Trump Plaza was a disaster, of course WWF/E returned to the same locale the following year.

WrestleMania 5 was a huge disappointment in terms of match quality – can you remember any of the 13 bouts that preceded the main event? Maybe Red Rooster versus Bobby “The Brain” Heenan (yes, that was an actual WM match), but nothing really has stuck over time as a memorable WrestleMania match.

The WWF Championship match itself between Hulk Hogan and heel champ “Macho Man” Randy Savage was fine, though in retrospect, Savage could have retained the title and prolonged this red-hot feud until SummerSlam.

Overall though, this is a completely forgettable Mania.
