Ranking All 35 WWE WrestleManias From Worst To Best

27. WrestleMania 33

The Undertaker Triple H

Looking at WWE’s roster three years ago, this should have been a banger of a show. But what we got instead was another marathon in desperate need of a fast-forward button.

If anyone wants to defend this show, we present the following: John Cena proposing to his now-ex-girlfriend after defeating Miz & Maryse; Women’s title matches that underperformed; A Kevin Owens/Chris Jericho match that should have ruled but was mediocre at best; And of course, Bray Wyatt projecting maggots and termites onto the ring, only for Randy Orton to immediately with an RKO for his 13th world title.

The Hardy Boyz returning was a legit surprise – and a great one at that – and Triple H versus Seth Rollins was fine if you could sit through it. But that wasn’t all we got that night.

All of this could have been overlooked if the main event was a tremendous bout. Instead, we got Undertaker versus Roman Reigns in one of the worst main events in WrestleMania history. This was supposed to be an epic farewell to Taker that “made” Reigns as the next guy, but it just utterly fell apart, as the match quality stunk, and fans crapped all over it from beginning to finish.

Over time, this might actually slide down the scale a little. It was just not a good Mania at all.
