Mick Foley achieved his boyhood dream when he defeated The Rock for the WWE Title, but experienced nightmares beyond even his own grisly expectations when 'The Great One' beat him half to death to win it back.

Mankind was an ideal substitute for Stone Cold Steve Austin as the company tried to keep 'The Rattlesnake' away from the belt en route to WrestleMania XV, but owned his role as transitional babyface a little too well.
