Triple H's World Heavyweight Title reigns from the mid-2000s are the stuff of nightmares, but for a brief period around the turn of the century, 'The Game' was every bit the man he professed to be.

Stone Cold Steve Austin's 1999 exit required both The Rock and Hunter to step in, but the latter's reputation as a ring general was entirely earned as he put in one superlative display after another until his 2001 quad injury ended his hot streak. Rarely was he as good again - though he surprisingly shone with the strap once more when sent to SmackDown with the WWE Title in 2008.
