Unlike everyone else featured in this list, James Gibson, better known by his WWE name Jamie Noble, had previously wrestled for WWE before arriving in Ring of Honor. He spent several years honing his craft in WCW and in WWE's Cruiserweight division before being released in 2004, leading to him experiencing a career resurgence upon coming to ROH in 2005.

There, he proved he was in fact a much better wrestler than WWE allowed him to be, contesting classics with several stars on the roster and eventually clinching the ROH World Championship. In fact, he was the one who unseated CM Punk as champ prior to his departure from the company.

Eventually, Noble was re-signed by WWE, though he wasn't used differently the second time around. He continued to compete at the Cruiserweight level and was largely utilized as an enhancement talent up until his retirement from the ring in 2009.

Although he had a sole reign as Cruiserweight champion to his credit and nothing else, there's something to be said for the longevity he's had in WWE, as he now works as a producer behind the scenes and was most recently spotted in an on-air role as one-half of J&J Security a few years back.
