Ranking Brock Lesnar's WrestleMania Matches - From Worst To Best
2. Roman Reigns (And Seth Rollins) - WrestleMania XXXI
With so much controversy surrounding the WrestleMania XXXI main event thanks to fan resentment of Roman Reigns, it is oftentimes forgotten just how spectacular a match his battle with Lesnar over the WWE World Championship actually was.
Those two delivered a hard-hitting heavyweight battle that was focused heavily on storytelling rather than a multitude of reversals and high spots.
Lesnar was the unstoppable force challenged by the relative newcomer, a rookie WrestleMania main eventer seeking to dethrone the greatest monster WWE had produced in recent years. He tossed Reigns around the ring with reckless abandon, delivering suplex after suplex.
With blood trickling from his mouth, Reigns looked at Lesnar...and smiled.
Resilient and defiant, Reigns continued laughing and smiling as he endured more and more punishment. Lesnar, as it turned out, was falling into his trap. The more energy the champion exuded early, the less he would have later in the match when Reigns mounted his comeback.
That is exactly what happened.
Except, a monkey wrench was thrown into his plans when Seth Rollins hit the ring with both men down and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, making the marquee match of the 2015 Showcase of the Immortals an impromptu Triple Threat match.
Rollins would win the match in controversial fashion but not before it was made abundantly clear it took two men and a shady cash-in of a guaranteed title shot to dethrone The Beast Incarnate.
The booking involved was phenomenal and accurately portrayed the three characters involved. It was, without question, Lesnar's greatest performance on wrestling's most prestigious night since his first back in 2003.
Speaking of which...
