Ranking Conor McGregors' Next Opponent From Least To Most Likely

2. Tony Ferguson

Tony Ferguson has gotten a rough deal in the UFC. He has the highest active win streak in his division, and yet his April bout against Nurmagomedov will be his first-ever undisputed title fight.

His comeback win against Donald Cerrone following his mental health issues showed he was still the best fighter in the division besides 'The Eagle', and their often snake-bitten matchup has been called off four times in the past.

There is a very high chance it will be again, and McGregor has made it known he plans to be on weight should either man pull out from the fight to challenge for the world title himself. If Khabib is the one to drop out, Ferguson will be the man standing across from 'McNuggets'.

It's a terrific match up too, as Tony seems almost incapable of having a brawl that isn't the fight of the night. Ferguson's ability to absorb damage and carry on like a zombie also makes sure an ending akin to the Aldo or Cerrone fights is less likely if 'El Cucuy' and 'Notorious' meet.

If Tony does manage to get past Khabib, then McGregor will no doubt come for the crown too, if only to bait Khabib into their inevitable rematch with a title fight.

Aside from the obvious top choice of this list, Tony is extremely close to getting his much called for red panty night.
