Ranking Conor McGregors' Next Opponent From Least To Most Likely
3. Jorge Masvidal
The breakout star of 2019 is the talk of the town following one of the best years a fighter can have.
He viciously knocked out Darren Till and Ben Askren before beating Nate Diaz into a bloody mess to capture the newly made BMF championship.
Masvidal has a very fan-friendly style of fighting that keeps things standing. He combines expert technique with the art of swinging bombs at his opponent, and he is pegged to be the first man who could legitimately knock out the iron-chinned McGregor cold in the Octagon.
Both men are huge personalities and their matchup would be a fight between arguably the two most popular fighters in the world right now. The BMF title being up for grabs also gives them a chance to stroke their respective egos, while also being harmless fun.
Jorge has tried getting under McGregor's skin by appearing at UFC 246 in the same bathrobe McGregor wore for his high profile loss to Floyd Mayweather, but it was laughed off by 'Notorious' who simply said it didn't make sense.
It's a fight everyone wants to see, Jorge is relentlessly pursuing it and McGregor seems happy to dance with 'Cuban Jesus'. The trash talk leading up to the bout would also without question be legendary, and give way to a slew of fresh lines for fans to meme.
It's just a shame Jorge doesn't hold the welterweight title yet, or this one seems almost a dead certainty.
