Ranking Every 2017 WWE Pay-Per-View From Worst To Best
3. Elimination Chamber
The Good: The Chamber itself was fabulously redesigned in a way that protected the talent and made for a substantially more satisfying viewing experience. Bray Wyatt's 2017 was a complete disaster save for one tiny moment of glory experienced here where it looked for a split second like his maiden WWE Title win could salvage years of horrendous booking and lethargic character work. Nikki Bella and Natalya's feud was a Tuesday Night highlight between 2016 and early-2017. Their bombastic brawl complemented the hard-hitting rivalry that came before it.
The Bad: From planning through to execution, everything was wrong with the handicap match pitting babyfaces Kalisto and Apollo Crews against newly-minted heel Dolph Ziggler. 'The Show Off' soaked up sardonic cheers from the crowd as a preposterously positioned underdog destined for defeat. Even the winners looked like losers.
The Ugly: A rotten night at the commentary desk foreshadowed some pretty major upheaval soon to occur on blue brand broadcasts. Mauro Ranallo had a bad night, persistently referring to the main event cage as 'Hell In A Cell' and earning hefty abuse from JBL in the process. David Otunga gave as good as he got, mocking the Texan for slipping when he'd made his entrance earlier in the night but neglecting most of the action throughout the night as a result. By September 2017, all three were removed from main roster announce duties, with JBL exiting the company outright amidst a slew of fresh bullying allegations.
