12. Super Show-Down

WWE Crown Jewel EVolution Ranked

Super Show-Down wasn't a bad pay-per-view by any stretch. Narrative-wise, it was the year's most pointless show, but it was boatloads of fun in stretches. Glorified house shows often are. This one gave the bumper Melbourne crowd an enjoyable day out at the rasslin', and while Triple H vs. The Undertaker was a complete mess of a bout, that the live audience lapped it up so vociferously shows it worked for anyone not consuming Super Show-Down on the Network.

Only a handful of wrestlers worked at full speed, but that didn't stop several mid-show matches hitting all the right notes, though the good-but-not-great Shield vs. Dogs of War clash fell short of expectations.

Best Moment: With apologies to AJ Styles and Samoa Joe, who worked a heated No DQ clash, Buddy Murphy capturing the Cruiserweight Championship after a riveting match on home soil was one of 2018's most heartwarming wrestling moments.

Worst Moment: Triple H vs. The Undertaker. A dud. The worst match of 2018. A blemish on both men's legacies. Conclusive proof that neither of these fossils should be anywhere near a wrestling ring together in 2018. A botch-laden disaster. An exercise in vanity and self-fellatio. This pile of sh*t was all these things and more.
