Ranking Every 2019 WWE PPV From Worst To Best
4. Royal Rumble
The Good: Virtually the whole card. Ronda Rousey had yet another banger, giving Sasha Banks her best singles match in forever. Brock Lesnar and Finn Bálor had another 'Beast Vs Little Guy' firecracker, Asuka's opening victory over Becky Lynch was bravely booked under challenging circumstances and Seth Rollins Royal Rumble win was the right result in a better-than-average battle royal. The baseball ground setting looked magnificent too.
The Bad: The women's Royal Rumble match ran too long, had a few too many botches and made an unnecessary meal of Becky Lynch's eventual victory. The result did much to mask the reality of its failings at the time, but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny on rewatch.
The Ugly: AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan got their match all wrong. Technical to a fault and unable to follow the aforementioned excitement for Becky Lynch, this lacked everything the crowd were looking for and thus had to objectively be judged as an outlying dud for the pair of them.
