Ranking Every AEW Championship Reign Of 2023
5. Jamie Hayter - AEW World Women's Championship
Even if AEW's women's division wasn't a poorly put-together farce, Jamie Hayter's reign still would've been 100% the correct decision. As it stands, her 190 days with the belt felt at times like things might be finally coming together. Hayter was over as a babyface and seemingly under fire (or potential fire) from all corners.
One of these was admittedly the Womens' nWo-lite that was The Outcasts, with Hayter still managing to be captivating despite her opponents being painfully boring. The real intrigue bubbled under the surface, though, as her former mentor, and the once power-hungry champion, Britt Baker stood beside her - prompting fans to look for the moment she would turn on the champ.
What propped this championship reign up was good timing and slow burn story potential. As is the unfortunate nature of the beast though, injury brought Hayter's reign to a close ahead of schedule, landing her the bronze medal for longest time with AEW's World Women's Championship.
