Ranking Every AEW Wrestler's 2020 From Worst To Best

1. Jon Moxley

AEW ranked 2020
AEW/Lee South

Jon Moxley was the best wrestler in the world in 2020. No other wrestler was considered for number one here.

The former AEW World Champion is demonstrably excellent at every single aspect of his job as a weekly television wrestler. Once every seven days, he either cuts a killer promo, pops the house in an explosive angle, or hits to a similar level between the ropes. Whether episodically or as part of a larger storyline, the consistency of his performances is second to none. Disappointments like the Jake Hager bout are few and far between.

Moxley's babyface character is badass and bullish without sacrificing sympathy, and he never strays too far towards heel territory. Sometimes he makes you laugh, sometimes he makes you want to fight a bear.

Business-wise, he has proven himself as the Wednesday Night Wars' most valuable ratings draw. This may change as Sting becomes a regular, but Mox is an objective credit to his promotion.

And he is just off the best World Title run an American promotion has seen all year, throughout which Moxley did everything in his power to present his AEW belt as the most important thing in the world to him, all the way up to his defeat.

Nobody could possibly ask more from a professional wrestler in 2020.
