The intro to this piece wasn't lying; we hope you like Mike Awesome, because he was the main man during all of these WCW Ambulance Matches. On the May 10, 2000 edition of Thunder, Awesome met Sting in another medical match that managed to last a grand total of three minutes before Vampiro interfered.

You may be noticing a trend with this WCW booking. Vince Russo and pals really couldn't help themselves, could they? During the year 2000, it's harder to find a match that didn't end with someone running in to screw another wrestler out of victory. At least Vamp and Sting were feuding at the time.

Just as it looked like Sting was going to emerge as the winner, Vampiro appeared, spat some blood in Sting's face and enabled Awesome to bundle his chief rival into the ambulance for the victory. This match headlined a two-hour Thunder episode with no less than nine matches too, making it hard to care about what was going on.
