Technically, this one was less a WWE return than it was a WWE debut - but since there was a brief gap between Jericho departing WCW and signing for Vince McMahon, it still very much counts (and only a stupid idiot would disagree).

If frustrations over being stuck in the mid-card were what precipitated his WCW exit, Jericho's main event itch was surely satisfied on his first night on Raw is War, during which he confronted The Rock in one of wrestling's all-time great promo exchanges.
