The 'Ayatollah of Rock'n'Rolla' suffered the ignominy of being attacked - by way of a "list", no less - by his one-time best friend Kevin Owens at Raw's Festival of Friendship, leading to an agonising three-week absence from our screens.

But he returned with aplomb at Fastlane, distracting Owens just long enough for Goldberg to catch the Universal Champion unawares with a devastating spear - one that would ultimately cost him his title on the eve of WrestleMania.

Apart from being a sweet moment of redemption for a wounded Y2J, his appearance also ensured that we only had to watch Goldberg wrestle for 20 seconds. For that, if nothing else, we were grateful.
