Ranking Every ECW Champion In History - From Worst To Best
16. Jerry Lynn
Despite being one of the most gifted workers on the entire roster, Jerry Lynn is another former ECW World Heavyweight Champion who somehow only managed to win the top title on one occasion.
After beating Justin Credible to win the belt at Anarchy Rulz 2000 on Oct. 1, Lynn went on to hold the title for 35 days before losing it the following month at November to Remember 2000.
Ultimately, it was Steve Corino who would end that show as ECW Champion, but interestingly he managed to do so without actually beating the former champion Lynn.
That’s because this one was contested under Double Jeopardy rules—a fairly unusual stipulation that sees the winners of two simultaneous singles bouts face off in a final, deciding encounter. Lynn would lose his opening match to Justin Credible, who in turn lost the subsequent meeting to Corino to signal a disappointing end to Lynn’s one and only ECW title reign.
