Ranking Every Finishing Move In WWE Today

42. Chris Jericho: Codebreaker

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT5qHuUw30Q You have to give it to Chris Jericho for changing so many aspects of his character late in his career. He cut his hair and goatee, started wearing light-up jackets, and even established a new finisher with the Codebreaker. While it will never be as popular as The Liontamer, it's a nice move to have in the tool set. Jericho wanted a finishing move that he could pull out in a variety of situation, which is what the Codebreaker accomplishes well. There have been occasions where the delivery looks kind of sloppy, but overall it's been a solid addition for him at this state of the game.

41. Sin Cara: Swanton Bomb

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vkt6FEBjaXc Jeff Hardy made The Swanton Bomb a legitimate and exciting finishing move in WWE. He had a trademark "snap" motion for landing on his opponent. Others like Sean O'Haire have used the move in WWE as well, and Sin Cara has now adopted it for himself. The original Sin Cara experimented with multiple finishing moves, ones that were harder to pull off, but often failed in their execution. Now that the former Hunico has taken over the role, he uses an easier, though, still impressive aerial move. This version of Sin Cara just isn't quite as athletic as the original to make the Swanton look spectacular, but for a clone, it's fine.

40. Rusev: The Accolade

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFlT62f5zZ0 The Accolade is just a Camel Clutch, one that's been used many times in the WWE, usually (and fairly offensively) by Arab wrestlers like The Iron Sheik, Muhammad Hassan and Jinder Mahal. Now a Bulgarian has made the move his own. Rusev performs The Accolade convincingly. Due to his strength it looks painful to be in, and hard to get out of. It fits his character well too, as he smugly looks on, and is free to taunt his American opponent as they pass out beneath him.

39. Dean Ambrose: Dirty Deeds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUtlc5Tv-74 The move Dirty Deeds has changed, but the name has remained the same. Whereas it used to be a standing bulldog type maneuver, it's now a double-armed DDT. Mankind used it to win matches back in the day when the Mandible Claw proved to be ineffective. It has been passed on. Dirty Deeds legitimately looks devastating, as the opponent is helpless to use their arms to protect their face from being slammed into the mat. It's a bit of a sadistic finisher, one well-suited for Ambrose.

38. Kofi Kingston: Trouble In Paradise

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B3GO74gzUg The crazy athletic Kofi Kingston has a finisher that few wrestlers on the roster could make look so good. Overall, Trouble in Paradise is a solid move that he's able to hit anyone on the roster with. There have been a handful of memorable uses of it throughout his career, where he's been able to pull it out of a variety of situations. It may be a New Day for Kofi, but Trouble in Paradise remains, and that's something to clap about!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
