https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alQZOuEzPoM Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are recent, and reluctant, tag team partners down in NXT. So far they've been impressive in their limited amount of time together, and have come up with a pretty unique finishing move. Jordan lifts up his opponent in a a back suplex, and then tosses him into the air where Gable catches him for the pin. In all reality, it probably wouldn't hurt any worse than had Jordan just done the move himself. But it still looks cool!
36. Paige: P.T.O.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OT6nBpv1sao The Paige Tap Out, is a pretty unique finisher in WWE. She began using it for herself after being inspired by Bull Nakano performing it years ago, which is a nice call back to history. While in the hold, the opponent is left helpless, unable to move any of their body parts, and can only meekly tap out. Working against Paige, is that she isn't exactly the strongest Diva on the roster. On a smaller opponent, she's able to make her modified Scorpion Cross Lock look great, but other times, she's unable to stand off the ground and it ends up looking a bit awkward. Since she has multiple finishers already, maybe she wouldn't mind passing this one off to someone else?
35. Dolph Ziggler: The Zig Zag
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H87oSQa2-wk For the most part, Dolph makes his finisher look pretty good. That's mostly due to his incredible athleticism. But The Zig Zag has a couple factors working against it. For one, the name is lame. "Oh no, please don't Zig Zag me!" Secondly, him jumping up in the air and landing on the mat along with his victim looks like it should hurt him just as much as his opponent. Lastly, it's not even the most impressive move in his arsenal, as his jumping DDT looks for more painful. What makes the move, though, is the way Dolph executes it. He throws his whole body into it and makes it look better than it has any right to be.
34. Alex Riley: Blockbuster
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcRC5efIppE The Blockbuster is a bit of an under-appreciated finishing move in WWE. Perhaps Buff Bagwell left a bad taste in everyone's mouth after his short run in the company, and scared anyone off from giving it a try. A few wrestlers have used it as trademark move over the years, but none as a consistent finisher. It seems that Alex Riley is set on changing that. Before he got hurt, he took on The Blockbuster as his own. The move is limited, as you have to hit it near a turnbuckle corner, but when it works, it looks pretty. Say what you will about Buff, but the man may have done it the best. Currently, Seth Rollins does it second best as a non-finisher. But perhaps Riley will still make it his own in time.
33. Undertaker: Hell's Gate
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vk9W4zyW7FI You have to hand it to The Undertaker for continually evolving. Late in his career, when most wrestlers stick with what made them popular, he began incorporating some MMA inspired submissions into his repertoire. While that sounds ridiculous for a zombie like character, it actually has worked out well. One of these submissions he has even taken on to put his victims away: Hell's Gate. Overall, it's a cool finishing move that looks like it could take you out pretty quickly, but still, people don't go to Undertaker matches to watch him tap someone out. He has other methods for winning that are more enjoyable.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
