Ranking Every Finishing Move In WWE Today

62. Erick Rowan: Full Nelson Slam

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seHiYZNb2rs Apparently, the full nelson slam is no longer Damien Sandow's finisher, as Erick Rowan has adopted it. Jinder Mahal used it briefly as well (also, Randy Orton used it in dark matches before making the main roster. Imagine fans cheering for "Full nelson slam! Full nelson slam!" Instead of "RKO"). Due to Rowan's size, it probably fits him the best. Previously, he was using The Torture Rack, so maybe they're still experimenting, and this finisher may not last long either (perhaps he's still trying to perfect the Three Handle Moss Covered Family Gredenza during his time off).

61. Blake and Murphy: Suplex/Frogsplash Combo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVZthhP0LsU It's always nice to see tag teams try to come up with a cool finishing move that takes both members to effectively pull off. Blake and Murphy should have tried a little harder. There's nothing wrong with a suplex, and there's nothing wrong with a Frogsplash, but they're pretty self-contained. Their combination of the two could be done by themselves really, unlike a Doomsday Device or \Snapshot. This could be a placeholder move for now, as the two continue to tag.

60. Titus O'Neil: Million Dollar Slam

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkcnafkd-9s While Titus O'Neil seems to have laid off his pumphandle slam finisher as of now, it's still been a fairly constant move for him over the years. Every now and then, some big dude like Wrath in WCW and Test in the WWF decide to take on the slam. Theirs versions seemed to have a bit more oomph though. The Million Dollar Slam isn't really a move you can just hit out of anywhere, since you have to take your opponents arm and place it awkwardly in between their own legs and under your crotch. So if you're planning on hitting someone with a wrestling move in real life, make this one of your last choices.

59. Adam Rose: Party Foul

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5YAiSz7XVI It's kind of incredible. When Adam Rose first debuted, he was hitting The Party Foul every week. He's somehow lost his wrestling ability since then, and now never uses it. It's kind of nice for Rose (if he ever wins again) that Dean Ambrose changed his Dirty Deeds finisher to the double-underhook DDT, as it used to resemble this one too closely. Working against the move is that it's kind of a weird set up. You grab your opponent standing side-by-side, and then take them down to the mat with you. In order for it to look credible, the person taking the move needs to be Rose's size or smaller. The Party Foul isn't exactly the life of the party, but it wouldn't get you kicked out either.

58. Darren Young: Gut Check

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMWFjdPdpb8 Darren Young's finisher is kind of like the GTS, in that he lifts his opponent up on his shoulders, and uses his own body to deliver the impact, but it's not quite as cool. For one, you have to be inside of a ring to use the move, otherwise it would be too painful. And secondly, while the GTS aims for the head, this one goes for (as stated), the gut. It's a fine mid-card finishing move, but definitely not worth millions of dollars.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
